This is from The Christian Excavator blog:
Often times the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah are used in both the Old and New Testaments as illustrations or examples of extreme wickedness.
The word sodomite in the Bible depicts what the world calls today a homosexual.
In the New Testament God calls the sin of homosexuality uncleanness, unnatural, abusers of themselves with mankind and going after strange flesh.
Genesis 13:13 says; “But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly.”
Jesus said; “Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.”
